During the installation and runtime, you may experience the following issues with the application. This guide lists possible issues and solutions.



Problem: During the installation, you see a message from Windows blocking the installation of an unknown program.

Solution: Click the More Info link in the popup window, then click the Run anyway button.



Problem: Third-party internet security software may warn or even block the installation file.


Solution: Select the appropriate action to unblock/run the installer. In this example, if someone is using Symantec Norton it may attempt to warn you. By selecting Run this program anyway, it is possible to add an exclusion (in this example, the Always allow option is checked)



Problem: Third-party internet security applications may attempt to warn/block Microphone access.

Solution: In this example, BitDefender was attempting to warn the action by the Webinato Application. If your security suite is attempting to block the access, be sure to select the allow access option when prompted.



Problem: Third-party internet security may attempt to warn/block webcam access.

Solution: In this example, BitDefender was attempting to warn/block the action by the Webinato Application. If your security suite is attempting to block the access, be sure to select the allow access option when prompted.


Problem: Third-party internet security applications may attempt to warn/block incoming streams.

Solution: In this example, Kaspersky was attempting to warn/block the incoming stream. If your security suite is attempting to block something similar, be sure to select the allow access option when prompted.


Problem: Third-party internet security applications may attempt to warn/block file uploads.


Solution: In this example, BitDefender blocked the file uploads. If your security suite is attempting to block something similar, be sure to select the allow access option when prompted. In this case, go View details and unblock access to Webinato Application.


Problem: If you use multiple instances although it is not recommended, you may see high CPU usage (100%) on rare occasions.

Solution: In this case, exit all the running instances. If this does not resolve the issue, do the following on Windows PC:

  1. Right-click the Windows taskbar
  2. Click Task Manager
  3. Click More Details dropdown
  4. Go to the Details tab
  5. Look for the Webinato Application instances
  6. Right-click one and click End task. Then click the End Process button
  7. End all the existing Webinato.exe tasks

ProblemWhen you exit the Webinato Application, on rare occasions, it may freeze.

Solution: Exit the instance using the task manager:

  1. Right-click the Windows taskbar
  2. Click Task Manager
  3. Click More Details dropdown
  4. In the Process, tab find the Webinato Application
  5. Look for the Webinato Application instances
  6. Right-click one and click End task

Problem: When installing WebinatoSetup.exe, AVAST would warn you that the file might be dangerous.  

Solution: You need to click on "I trust this file."



You might also see this error notification from Windows, just click "OK."



You’ll be prompted with the CyberCapture feature from AVAST, make sure that you click on “Settings” located on the lower right. Under the General AVAST settings, you’ll see by default that Enable CyberCapture is set to “always block it.” 


You will need to change that setting to “allow me to decide.



Run the WebinatoSetup.exe once more and make sure to click on “Run anyway (not recommended)” which should allow the program to install without any restrictions.



The Webinato Application is safe and there are no issues that can harm your computer.




Problem: Adding/uploading PowerPoint file(s) is being blocked/restricted.

Solution: During your first time uploading a PowerPoint file, AVAST will pop-up a warning about Webinato.exe attempting to change or delete your files. You will need to grant/allow access by simply clicking ALLOW APP.


Once you’ve granted/allowed access, the next time you try to upload PowerPoint slides, AVAST will no longer block or request your confirmation.




Problem: Firefox does not launch the Webinato app when clicked Use Webinato and then Open Webinato

Solution: This problem occurs mainly because Firefox is unable to find a relevant app to open.


  1. Launch Firefox and go to Settings
  2. In the Find in Options search box, type app
  3. A list of applications appears. Find Webinato from the list. If the default application (to the right) does not indicate Use Webinato then click the dropdown box and select Webinato from the list. Select it even the selection says Always Ask
  4.  If the list does not show Use Webinato, click Use Other. Then click Browse and navigate to C:\Program Files\Webinato and double-click Webinato (or Webinato.exe) from that folder
  5. Close the settings page and test the login link. If this does not work, please contact us
